We are acutely aware that the sun is at is lowest these days. This picture was taken at 12:30, December 25th, when the sun was at its high point for the day--barely more than half way up our neighbours' trees. The shadows at noon are already lengthy, but June is coming. The low sun at least made our dining room bright. You can see jars of peppernuts waiting their turn to accompany pots of coffee and tea.
