It took us 3 1/2 hours to do the reading, passing the book around in a circle. We had a table loaded with carry-in items and spiced cider and pressed coffee, tea, etc. to go with it. The bed of coals in the hearth that built up throughout the evening would have made Dad quite pleased. The fellow that has the cabin and the idea is Chris Walker who is standing on the right with his wife. His dad was an engineer who took a keen interest in the design and construction of it some years ago. It's located a half hour north of us on about 60 acres of fields, abandoned pasture being taken over by new growth, older woods, and a stream. We had parts of 6 families represented in the group that night. Three of the children are in our Shakespeare reading group. --Paul

This is the very sort of photo and story that would have been perfect decades ago in that heart-warming magazine, Ideals (?) or something like that. This sounds so much nicer than watching the DVD version on the home theatre system. I remember our family listening to a radio production in Wadsworth, we brothers were all in our pjs (with feet), the whole family cuddled on the davenport, under blankets, the Christmas tree lights on. It was magic, as we fell asleep, one after another.
Mine were the green "kitty" pajamas.
